PetroVietnam drilling firm to get two new rigs

PetroVietnam Drilling & Well Services Joint-Stock Co., (PVD) the country’s biggest listed oilfield-services provider, will receive two new oil rigs to expand its business, the company said.

The two rigs, to be delivered by Singapore’s Keppel Corp., will be used to provide drilling services to Vietsovpetro, a Russian-Vietnamese joint venture, and the Bach Dang Oil and Gas Company, it said.

The company will receive the first rig this month and the second in December.
